Ignition switch hassles S70 1998

Thanks Jmack, I appreciate the effort.......nice to know I'm not alone....(in the bush, sitting on top of Quebec and New Brunswick border, under 3 feet of snow)...Finally got to determine that the switch isn't the problem, got a bad ground somewhere, and it could also be the starter. Will know tonight as I have limited time to take care of this. Anyhow I thought I'd let you know that the Volvo mechanic told me this morning there never are problems with the electrical part of the switch (you're the lucky guy I guess) but the mechanical part is often a prob. Apparently if you wait to change it, you're running after big trouble....mine is also pretty bad at this point.
