Signal Light Problem S70 1998

I have a 2000 V70. If the interior is similar to your S70,98, the signal module is just above the ashtray, the hazard light button is part of the module. The module can be removed after undoing two screws holding the base of the ashtray. The module is combination of your signal and hazard electronics, and can be felt in the space above the ashtray after the astray is removed. The hazard switch button is attached to a switch which forms the end of this module. The module is a lightly pressed fit, and can then be pushed out towards the interior of the car. The module is full of electronic components, and cost about $200! Often, it is not the module that is at fault, but the contact with the wiring harness is at fault. I cleaned the contacts and sprayed some cantact cleanser/conductor spray (I used a spray call Corrosion Block, but I think WD40 may work) on the plug and it worked!

Good luck.
Fred
