Seal Woes 850

By all means replace/clean the flame trap. Not uncommon to have oil on top of the head, from pcv hose or leaking oil cap seal. When you go uphill, oil can trickle out a drain passage near cyl 4 and run down to the exaust manifold. Pop the spark plug cover off and check it out.
