Did I make a mistake???? S80 2000

I just bought a 2000 S80 T6 on Friday, used (50k miles), obviously.....well, today, Sunday, the Check Engine light came on....this is my first volvo and I am curious if this is a regular occurance with this car. Everything seems fine, no strange noises, but I haven't even had the thing a week and it seems a bust.....did I make a mistake trading in my Toyota??!!
