Did I make a mistake???? S80 2000

Verdict is in....LUCKY for me, as of this morning I had 3 miles left on the manufacturer warranty. The problem was a bad master air intake meter or something like that....dealer said it would have cost 645 to fix, for me, free. But, I noticed that when I picked up my car there were 50,001 miles on it, and the warranty is now expired.....also lucky for me, my husband and I purchased a bumper to bumper warranty on it.......should get us through another two years!
