Hi,

I had stuck/sieze rear (passenger side) caliper before. The sympton was that it would squeak without applying the brake due to the caliper was stuck and the pad stayed in contact with the rotor. Dealer replaced the caliper and rear pads for about $400, I forgot the exact price.

Your case may be, as said by others, using the non-Volvo rear pads. Volvo rear pads comes with a shims to eliminate squeak. Also, the silicon grease (anti-squeak) must be applied to the back of the pads and shims.

Take a look at the Bay13 webpage under the www.volvospeed.com. It has the details instruction to replace the rear pads and rotor.
