94 850 turbo engine problem 850 1994

A1 is transmission
A2 is fuel
A3 is ABS, and yes, they could have been sitting there all along
A5 is turbo (often there is no true socket there, it is blank)
A6 is ignition (often there is no true socket there)
A7 is combined instrument

All of B is accessory stuff...

I noticed you've been going to the dealership. The dealership here, from what I've seen, is a bit lax in the service department. Look at your spark plug wires, you can see them peeking out from under the cover where they attach to the distributor cap. There will be a date...something like 94 - 17...indicating the 17th week of 1994. There are soooooo many things that can cause what you described, but in my experience, with very similar customer descriptions it has almost always been spark related. The other few times it was the connector on the air mass meter, wiggles and turns green, there was a service bulletin on securing the connector with a zip tie, or the system relay, which lives under the front hood cowl, directly under where you stand in front of the car looking at the motor, saying, "what the hell?" Lean over and peer under the cowl behind the radiator. You will see a small grey relay held in with a brass bracket on the top. If it's banging around it could be your problem; if it is original from 1994, it could be your problem. Now, look at your air mass meter (Rule308 suggested this first), it sits directly behind your air filter box, if the connector isn't secured with a zip tie, and you can see a gap between the connector and the air mass meter, unplug it, clean the connector, apply dilectic grease to the connector, and secure it with a zip tie. Also...look over at your coil, on the driver's side fender, the ground and contact often turn green. Last...if everything I noted looks great; I'd bet on the cam sensor being the culprit.

Chris
