Need REAL advice on disconnecting A/C Firewall hoses 850

We bought the Ford snap on connector removers, cheaper than the Volvo ones. The sizes you need are 1/2 inch and 5/8 inch. I'm not sure what kind you have, or if they were the right size. You just put them on the connectors, and pull back, there's a spring in the coupler that breaks the seal, and nope, it is not as easy as it sounds. You have to wrap a shop rag around the lines, wiggle, swear, hold your mouth right, say a couple of mantras to the Volvo gods, and just pull, pull, and pull. When they finally pull loose, you'll notice, and you'll be glad you wrapped the rag around the line...cause the oil, dye and such that is in the system tastes pretty nasty...what? I told you, you have to hold your mouth just right.

Chris
