850 won't start 850 1997

If you don't own a multimeter and you do own a volvo you're messing up.

Check -GND to +BATT. See if the voltage goes down as you measure, it'll be gradual.

Check -BATT to +BATT.

Check -BATT to +Starter if you can reach it (I have probes, no problem for me). Check both sides of the starter, main and solenoid.

I wouldn't try jumping it unless/until you've checked these things.
