More likely a defective dealer. (That's another common problem with these cars.) They found NOTHING wrong, and yet, you don't think you're just "hearing things," do you?

Check the yellow pages to see if there's an independent Volvo specialist in your area. (Also common due to above.) In fact, if you tell us where you're from, someone on this forum might be able to recommend one.
