Pollen Filter Mod - Do or Not Do ? 850

I checked my 95 850 Wagon last eve and found no pollen filter. Does it make sense to buy the holder and filter and install it? What are pros and cons? I'm thinking I've been living without it so why bother now, unless it is beneficial to the car.
