well, it is a 6 year old car, and what you are replacing is in line with what I have replaced on my 98 S70 (less the driveshafts and turboseal). I don't maintain mine at the dealer because of the costs, but do the work myself and it is much cheaper. These cars have their weakpoints and if you are on top of those, it isn't so bad to maintain. I also have a ford pickup as my other vehicle...it has its weakpoints too, but is very reliable. I wouldn't get rid of either one in my case.
