Am I nuts? Thinking to buy... V70-XC70 2000

1.) I have a '98 V70T5 with 144k on the clock. It still uses no oil between changes, shifts like new and the clutch is original. So I don't find mine to be a scary proposition. But I've owned it since new, used Mobil-1 synthetic, maintained it by-the-book and when something breaks I fix it.

2.) This WAS to become my daughter's car, however she refuses to drive a stick shift in our horrid traffic and I really can't blame her. I've looked for a V70T5 automatic in decent shape with a good service history and at a decent price. They're as rare as honest politicians and as expensive as crooked ones. So now I'm looking for a 940Turbo, and relegating my V70 to "winter beater" status. At least if the 940 timing belt breaks it doesn't require a new motor! So "overpriced" for a decent 940 is a relative term. Considering the cost of repairs and maintenance you might argue that the '00 V70 is overpriced and the 940 is underpriced. My $0.02.
