from 940 to s80 T6 S80

I also went from a 940 (1992) to an S80 T6 (1999). I got a great deal on it, just as it sounds you have. I gave the 940 to my son, mostly because I didn't want him to see his dad cry as it left the driveway in someone else's hands. The car is still in incredible shape, just cresting 200K now. The S80....it looks like a million bucks and handles likewise. But there truly is alot of history in the archives on this website. If you are gonna do the deal anyway, I would look at front end noise (although with 100k it should have alrady been repaired), acceleration (do not be afraid to drive it hard during your test drive, constantly hitting passing gear), and oil leaks. I haven't had any electronic problems. Would I do it again? Probably; it's my third Volvo and am certainly more impressed with the way the first two were built. But I'd be lying if I told you I wasn't interested in a newer model that has the bugs worked out of it.
