The price does seem a little on the high side unless the seller has all the maintenance records. The price of these cars is most influenced by the mileage and how well the service has been maintained. I recently purchased my first 850 series (south Florida 96 850 GLT loaded) with 105K miles on the clock and perfect dealer service record for $4,200. The only thing it has needed so far was tires, but I have done some additional maintenance items to get ahead of the curve.
Since the unit you are looking at has higher mileage, check when the timing belt was last replaced, I think it should be done about every 70K miles. Also you might want to take a look at www.kbb.com and get the trade in value of the car. This will give you a really good starting point as to what the car is worth.
BTW I love my 850 GLT and would highly recommend it for folks who do their own maintenance or have a reliable dealer close by.
