Kelly,
If you ever figure it out, let me know. I have the identical problem. But my mech must be cheaper, he only wanted $2034. I'm still troubleshooting. It does apparently have a leak, but that's not the solution. Like you, I've had this issue for two years, and it blows very cold when it chooses to work.
