Does the engine crank over but not start or does nothing happen when you turn the key? If the engine cranks over, your next step it to determine if you have spark or not. If you don't, your problem is most likely ignition related and the switch is one possibility. If you have spark, your problem is most likely fuel related (ie pump, FP regulator) If nothing happens when turning the key, make sure (1) your terminals are clean even with a new battery as a thin layer of invisable oxidation forms on the inside of your terminals and (2) make certain your ground cable is clean where it is bolted to the frame. Look in the FAQ 700/900 section for a troubleshooting list to follow. Although the 850 engine is different, the steps are basically the same in solving a no start problem.
