rear washer will not spray on tailgate window 850

I had to replace the check valve on the rear washer nozzle on my 1997 T5 wagon. Open the back hatch, the plastic cover at the top of the inside of the rear hatch pops off....be careful, though. You'll the washer hoses and the check valve. It cost ~$5 at the dealer. It took 5 minutes.

I am not sure about 1995's, but on the 1997's, at the center of the top of the dash, you'll see a blinking red light indicating an alarm system.
