Thank you for your response. I was just starting to wonder about the microswitch b/c when I talked to Volvo, they were kind of cryptic. I am surprised though that I got such a quick response from them. I had heard horror stories about their service department. I had a woman in the critical care dept. call me and tell me the technical specialist would be at the local dealer tomorrow (he wasn't supposed to be there until next week). This, also after the dealer told me they couldn't fit me in until Tues. She told me to call the dealer and tell them I would be there tomorrow and if they had a prob. to call her. I was very impressed!! Anyway, I guess I'll get to the bottom of things tomorrow. I've been afraid of my car for the past few days. lol Thanks again!
