Getting at the Alternator 850 1996

I got a good working used one for $50.00. I had saved a web page with info for testing the out put but I can’t find now. Maybe this one will be of help to you.

The brushes and the regulator is one unit held in by 2 screws at the back of the alternator once removed you will see the 2 brushes I would say if the are sticking out and are 3/8-1/2” long they are still good. I don’t know what voltage the alternator should put out.
