Don't wax your car... Seriously, I would recommend trying Klasse All-in-one polish and sealant. It's polymer based so it doesn't leave a white residue and as a bonus you can buff it off as fast as you can put it on. Very easy to use and a liitle goes a long way. Treating your trim with dressing before waxing helps. Finally, there are products that can remove wax residue.
