I didn't like the stiff ride of my V70, so when it was time to replace my struts, I was looking for smooth confortable ride and price.
The front strut rubber bushings in my V70 needed replacement, so I bought OEM parts and asked my local garage to install them for me. They quoted me $230 plus alignment plus tax (I provided the parts), about $300.
That was a bit to steep for me just for labor, then I saw a Sears flyer with a deal on new Sensatrac struts for $89 each installed. I stopped by the store and asked if they would replace the strut rubber bushings for me, and they said no problem, no extra charge. So for $250 I ended with new front struts, alignment and new strut bushings.
I am very pleased with the confortable ride, and at that price I made out very well, and besides they have a lifetime warranty.
The sensatrac are good decent struts at a reasonable price. Did you know that the S40/V40 come with sensatracs as standard equipment. So don't dismiss them just because of the price.
