Wintermode problem 850

Thanks so much for your email. I'm also frightened by the idea that I could buy this thing thinking it is a $50 switch and it turns out to be the transmission. You said your car showed a wintermode code that was cleared, but the problem didn't go away. Was it cleared by the shop? What did they say about why it occurred and whether it was related? I think the PNP switch on this thing has been replaced. Sounds like you've concluded it's a tranny problem. Have your mechanic(s) told you the same. Say it ain't so.
