Disabling Anti-Theft Alarm ?? S70 1998

I tried this but it's not the answer. Thank you though.

To restate: I am trying to turn off the alarm unit forever (so to speak, actually until there's a reset of the unit.) I am not trying to get into a car without the alarm going off. I am not trying to override the alarm for a one time situation. What I am trying to do is to get rid of the alarm system as a whole. I was told by Volvo that there is a way to tell the "computer" to turn it off and leave it off.
