I had a leak at the same place on my 95-850 at 120,000. I replaced both rad hoses and both heater hoses because they all felt soft compared to a new hose. I sprayed the clamps well with "Liquid Wrench" or similar rust penetrant. The clamps and hoses were not very hard to remove. Just take your time and wiggle them off gently. There was no sign of damage at any of the barbs including the metal one at the engine for the lower hose. I wiped them down and where there was any dirt I used a little 320 grit waterproof oxide paper to smooth them. There have been no problems since.
I got the hoses from EuroParts Direct. Follow previously posted hints if you replace the heater hoses. I wouldn't replace the metal piping unless you find it badly corroded.
