Don't buy Volvos from idiots who treat them like Honduhs. Sounds like the kind of guy who maybe takes his car to Jiffy Lube every six months and considers that good enough. I'd either low ball him or walk at this point. If you plan to keep the car for a while I'd just be very patient and find a one owner car with records.
