AC Receiver-Drier - how to remove? 850 1995

You're on the right track. The tool is a little tricky to use because it has to be first pushed in to expand the spring around the tubing flange and then held in place and pulled out along with the dryer tube. Not much room to work with either and the dryer 10 mm screw has to be removed in order to be able to move the tube. There's a couple of o-rings that will need to be replaced. The large compressor line o-ring is an odd size and you will probably need to get it from a dealer or Volvo "indy" shop.
