battery dead all the time!!!! 850 1996

I had the same issue a year ago with my 96 850 turbo wagon. Turns out it was the alarm "acting up" and turning the hazard lights on (all 4), usually in the middle of the night, which drained the battery in a few hours. I had the alarm disabled by the Volvo shop and all is well. I also went thru the usual "battery drain" wild goose chase, and there was never a drain on the system when someone checked it.
