once you get past their instructions you are only a few more simple but delicate steps away, so make sure you have a clean spot, clean hands and some small screwdrivers to remove the smaller components

once the cluster has been removed you can unsrew the screws retaining the thin black plastic circuit board dust cover and then a few more screws hold the board onto the back of the cluster assembly

you will see the odometer gear package held onto the back of the speedometer with a few more screws

a small electric motor on the side of the gear package is then slowly removed to reveal an opaque yellowed gear with a tiny broken tooth
