Doing the replacement is easy with the right tools. A bearing here in the UK is about £78. It's easier to do the job if you take the knuckle off the wishbone. You can use an 11mm box key to take the torx bolts out the back of the knuckle. I have replaced two on my 850, strangely, both the same side. One at 35,000 miles and again at 100,000.
