Yes - age is a known problem. Hoping for a recall on my knee soon.

My radiator lasted about 240k miles. Replacement cost was about $180 including shipping. I got mine from eeuroparts.com or you can check www.radiators.com (they will do just the part and if you like connect you with install location) Took a couple days as I had to get some new bolts and do other chores too.

Was more involved then cars I've done in the past. Next time might just pay the extra to have it installed for me but guess I'm glad to have done it once.
