I've had a couple of cars with a partly stuck caliper that gradually heated up during an extended drive (1 hour or so) and got progressively tighter. Cooling off a while, like overnight, "cured" this, sometimes for a few days even. Along with the progressive sticking was a somewhat harder brake pedal operation - someone suggested this would be the brake fluid in the caliper starting to boil.
These got bad enough over a couple of weeks or during a trip to where replacing the caliper was needed.
I've owned several cars of various brands over the last 30 yr and had maybe in total 4 of them with one or more stuck calipers. None of them cured themselves.
