Here is the e-mail Volvo Customer care sent me this morning. I will keep you all informed of what happens.

Dear Mr. Pierce,

Thank you for contacting Volvo.

We are sorry to learn of the difficulties you are experiencing with the ETS systen in your 1999 S70. Volvo puts great effort into designing and manufacturing a quality automobile.

We take the concerns of our owners in this matter very seriously and we are cooperating with the NHTSA in determining the scope, frequency and safety consequences of the complaints.

Sophy Yong, a Customer Care Consultant, will be contacting you to discuss your concerns further.
