Fuse #6 is not used in '86 thru '90 240s 200

The most important fuse is 6 or 7 because it's in the fuel pump circuit.

I was fooled by the fuse cover label for years, till one day I pulled fuse 6 while the car was running, trying to "depressureize" the fuel lines. Gave up after engine wouldn't stop.

Fuse 6 is just an unused spare on our US 240s with LH Fuel Injection, that is up thru 1990. In '91, fuse 6 was changed to 16 amps and became the MAIN FI and Ignition fuse, replacing the 25 amp one under the hood.

However, fuse 6 IS active in non-US 240s that still use K-jet FI (UK and Asia that I know of). That's what the label refers to. Can't say why the label has been misleading from '86 till '91.
