Is there anyway to clearly differentiate an oil pan leak from a rear main seal leak? 200 1986

Could be the Cam seal leak at the rear of the head dripping down and spreading. Wipe the area as dry as you can and check for new oil.

The picture shows where it is, and dimensions for a DIY seal retainer. The tapped holes are already there.
