This is actually a rather big job.
If I remember correctly, a slight lifting at the rearmost lifting eye was helpful when removing the pan.
You also need to split the steering shaft joint. Don't touch the steering wheel before reassembly. The SRS connector is a "clock spring" that will brake if the steering shaft is not correctly aligned with the steering box.
