Yes, this is the "kick-down" cable and if not adjusted properly, the transmission will not shift very well. I know this from experience... we corrected the problem by removing the offending transmission and replacing it with a 4 spd & o/d. We sold all of the A/T parts to a friend with an automatic ES. I'll shoot him an e-mail to see if he's willing to part with the cable. Foriegn Autotech and Don Thibault would probably have the cable as well.
