power window doesn't close tight 700 1989

AS I recall, the window motor stops when it meets with a lot of resistance, rather like the reason the power antenna stops.

So something got bent out of line, making the resistance level being hit too early. You may need to pull the trim panel and have a look in there.

If you do go in there, lubricate everything in sight, even the glass tracks.
