power window doesn't close tight 700 1989

I have the same problem in an 88 744Ti. The window does not want to close evenly leaving a gap at the front.

I have not had time to investigate by removing the door panel to look for an adjustment but have been able to live with the problem with just a little assistance when closing the window. I add a little "lift" on the front edge of the window by spreading my palm on the glass and pushing up while closing it.

While not a permanant solution it does eliminate the annoying wind noise.
