122 and 140 parts interchangability

I'm getting up a list of parts I need for my 122 wagon, and so far have had no luck selling the wrecked 142 I have. So I am considering parting out the 142, but have a few questions before I go that far: Are there any of the suspension or brake parts interchangeable between a '68 P220 and a '70 142? I know the engine/trans will fit, the rear diff can be made to fit, but what about the newish IPD sway bars and newish KYB shocks? What about the radiator? Will the entire front crossmember swap out between the 2 cars? The steering boxes are different between the flex joint and teh box itself, but can the unworn 143 box be used in place of my almost worn out 122 box?

Thanks!

Ron

the radiator should fit without too much trouble.
You can get the front seats in the 122, and I've seen pictures of 140 brake boosters in 122s... but I am at odds with the 140 booster, even installed in 140s.

rotors are the 108mmx5 bolt pattern, and the rear end not only is longer but totally different in how it's suspended. A rusted-out 1800e/es would be the car to take brakes & a rear end from.

Drivetrain alone is worth it to the '68. How 'wrecked' is the '70?

Swaybars, no; shocks, I don't think so.
But I'd be interested in either for my '70!

I think you will have to get out your measuring tape to know for sure but
the 140 steering box is quite a bit bigger than the one for the 122, and
the car is wider so even if the crossmember would bolt up it would not be
exactly the same. Could probably be made to work but not a straight 1:1
conversion. Most other suspension items the same.
The earliest 140s were more like the 122s than later ones.
