Maybe ipd is following the trend that Volvo N.A. is setting by not offering the complimentary high mileage badges. Ipd is definatley way too overpriced, but they are good for the swaybars (no wonder it's exalted on the first page of their catalogue), and strange things like snow scoops, and funky interior clips, and stuff. The rest is easily had at the junkyard or fcp. But that's just about it. You should check out the bavarian autosports catologue or moss motors..WooHOO they got more stuff for those old 2002's and mgb's then you'd ever believe. I'm talking every single nut and bolt and washer, supercharger kits, headers, etc. Makes ipd look like, well, crap!
There are some folks over on turbo bricks asserting that ipd has capitalized on every "invention" that their board members have produced. Without namimg names: adjustable cam sprockets, schrader valves, heim joints, and lots of boost related parts. All of which can be had for a fraction of what ipd sells for supposedly beacuse of the overhead and research time incurred (??).
Personally all I need from ipd are glossy pictures of bricks and some 25 or 28mm front bars. The rest of ipd can go to hell for all I care. They're definatle not innovative in any sense. HAVE THEY EVER COME OUT WITH ANYTHING UNIQUE? Or anything that challenges design paradigms? I'm talkin 240's here. TO me they're basically akin to a boutique store such as those frequented by mercedes owners. Half of their catalogue is dedicated to J.C. Whitney style crap like flashlights and cigarette lighter map lights, and hokey emergency window hammers. I am gonna have to agree with the negative stuff posted by others here. As for cutomer service I always expect good service -- that should be a given, not an exception. Hoorah for FCP.
If you were misled about the bilsteins, can't you ask to see if they'll take 'em back? Next time try eShocks.com or the ilk, any place is gonna be cheaper that ipd. You probably want the Boge turbo gas...
