Not entirely sure that I follow you but if your intent is to pull the pan, change out the gasket, reinstall the pan and replace the fluid that you drained out and then do your flush via the cooler lines at the radiator you should be just fine. In the subject you call out an AW 43 trans, what is that designation? All of the 960's over here run AW30-40 gear boxes and I have never seen a manual gear box in this market.
