we were visiting for the weekend one of our kids in upstate ny....hudson valley.
she and family live on quiet country road in apple orchard country.
anyway, last night we were all out back having a barbecue when were gunshots. not something unusual in the country so we paid it no mind.
this morning the wife and i were leaving to return home. after trying to unsuccessfully start up the car i popped the hood to see what the trouble was.
it took a while but here is one for the archives brickster!
one of those gunshots made its way clean through my pusher fan, condensor, radiator, broke a fan blade and lodged inside the timing belt cover where it rolled around while i tried to start the car.
fortunately, if one can say that in this case no pulleys were damaged, or the block or the belts or tensioners.
whats left of the bullet appears to be 9mm as best as i can tell. it is pretty banged up.
i still am not sure if this was just bad juju that happens eventually to everyone or someone with a nasty streak?
