Normally,the fan comes on in these cars in hot weather when they are stationary.Get the car warmed up,park it,open the hood.The fan should come on ,run for a while,then shut off.The cycle will repeat as long as the car idles.If the A/C is on,the fan will run most of the time while idling with the compressor running.If your A/C does not cool much while idling,check for fan rotation-if none,suspect the fan circuit (relay,wiring,etc).
