if u elect to drop the pan 200

Personally, I have removed four pans, three of which had "frozen dip stick tube fittings. On each of them, I was able to use two wrenches, one to hold the fitting that is welded to the pan, and the other on the nut. I was able to break all of them free without damaging the pans... long handled wrenches really really help. No leaks after reassembly either.

If you choose to drop the dip stick tube with the pan, disconnect the battery first, as the tube is held to the back of the bell housing by the starter bolts... I'd hate to see your starter slip out of the hole and have the hot terminal short against the block... I'm kinda scared of fires and electrical meltdowns.
