I've said it before, and I'll say it again. I am waiting for someone to show me a photo of a crank damaged by an impact gun. I don't believe it can happen.
I've used a gun to re and re the pulleys - never used anything else in fact. Not only do the dealers do it, the factory does too. In fact the factory installs cylinder heads, mains, and rods, with air tools. That's the way it is.
