it's definitely your idle air valve.
Start at your throttle body and follow the air bellows back towards the air box. There is a small (1/2"?) hose running off this hose, to a metal cylinder with hose connectors on top. This is your idle air control valve. The FAQ explains how to clean this, but basically just spend a can of Throttle body cleaner on it by filling it up, plug the hose holes with your fingers, shake it around, empty the TB cleaner out, and repeat.
I'm sure this will fix your problems.
