Get a 940. I have owned lots of Volvo's over the years, worked on hundreds, and I personally owned only one 740. Never again. The 940 is the logical development, and they are the last real Volvo.
However I found that the early nineties Lexus LS400 is about the same price used as the 940 wagons around here. I bought the Lexus. It doesn't break at ALL. Just don't tell anyone else....and that's why I haven't owned a 940.
