Just obtained a Python Injection AMM; it's a remanufacture. Has anyone had any experience with this brand? Their web site stated that remans are to OEM specs...

It is an unfortunate situation that you have on the 84 and earlier cars when it comes to mass air flow sensor replacements. Python and Programa are both garbage with Python probably edging out Programa for biggest piece of crap going. But what the heck are you supposed to do? I have not seen a genuine Bosch one in years, they simply do not support it anymore. When I get a car in the shop that needs one I usually cross my fingers and slam in a Programma.

Thanks for the reply. As I have scoured the archives on AMMs I have seen your posts concerning rebuilt/remanufactured AMMs. I gather that you work in or own a shop somewhere and so rely on the best parts and workmanship to your customers. My issue is that my AMM is going south and as it is such an easy part to install, I had found a Python AMM and put it in my car. It has solved my idle issues for the moment.

I have found Injection Labs as a source for rebuilt AMMs and am inquiring as to pricing. What is your opinion as to their product?

I got one from Injection Labs for my brother's 245 last year, still going strong and got it in 1 day, they are near Denver...

i just installed an injection labs AMM in my '83 244GL a month ago and it has worked fine.

I suppose there's always going to be a little risk involved in buying a rebuilt electronic part.

I'm interested in the upkeep of your car-how many miles? What have you recently replaced? Has the rust cancer taken hold? I have propped open the air box in my car until the receipt of a new air box thermostat. Then I will install and hope for some more miles.
