A top quality belt should provide good service for 30-50 thousand miles if not allowed to run slack.A belt will need to be re-tensioned 2-3 times during its service life.Grip the belt in the middle of its span now,as it has just been installed and should be near proper tension.Re-check it in 2-3 weeks to see if it has loosened(it probably will).The rubber mounts should last several years.

Triple-A has a good long range tow policy.
